Luther Ray Woodland Sr.

Luther Ray Woodland, Sr. was born April 2, 1959 in Brookhaven, Ms to the late J.W and Betty Woodland. He passed December 5, 2016 at Singing River Hospital, Pascagoula, MS. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; paternal grandparents, Joe O'Neal and Lenner Mae Woodland, Jessie and Clara Bell Butler: nephew, Quincy Woodland; brother, James Woodland.

Luther, aka Babee, graduated from Moss Point High School with the Class of 1977. He was a faithful member of First Missionary Baptist Church where he enjoyed hearing the word of God with his family. He retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding in management for 37 years in department 17. Luther also worked as a carpenter and was well known by many in his surrounding community. 

He leaves to cherish his memories and legacy to his devoted wife for 27 years, Jennifer Fountain Woodland, two daughters, Latia (Nickolas) Jutan and Lauren Woodland both of Houston, TX; two sons, Rodreqcus Davis, Sr of Moss Point, MS and Luther Woodland, Jr of Jackson....
