Mrs. Ada Bernice Worthy Jenkins a native of Louisville, MS and a resident of Jackson County for the past 62 years passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Singing River Hospital. She was a member of Greater Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and attended Christian Love. She was employed with the Grand Casino for many years.
She was preceded in death by her mother; Nellie Stephens-Worthy, father; Emmett Worthy, Sr., brothers; Elbert Worthy, Albert Worthy, William Worthy, Henry Worthy, and sisters; Sophie Dodd, Sallie Marshall, and Nellean Triplett.
Ada is survived by her devoted and loving husband David Jenkins of 39 years, daughter Carolyn (Willie) Ann Triplett Davis, her stepchildren; Derrick McDougal, Celeste Wilson, Melissa Jenkins, and, Vicki and Tony Booker, a brother; Emmett Worthy Jr. of Ware, MS, sisters; Katie Kelly, Pearlean Triplett, and Pauline Worthy all of Louisville, MS., a devoted sister Edna Triplett, a devoted niece Patricia Rush, 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, sister in law Jonell Johnson, a special cousin Jerry Worthy of Milwaukee, WI, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives who loved her dearly.
