Charlene "Memaw" Marie Mintner

Ms. Charlene “Memaw” Marie Mintner native of St. Louis, MO and a resident of Ocean Springs, MS went home to be with family and friends on Thursday, January 16, 2020, alongside her loving daughter. She was employed by Waffle House as a server for many years where she gained countless friendships and served as the neighborhood Memaw.

Charlene will be remembered and admired for her incredible strength as she battled cancer with positivity and incomparable mental tenacity for over 2 long years.  Memaw loved to get together with family and friends to socialize during an afternoon or at night by playing bingo. She was always ready with clever wit to bring laughter and smiles or big hugs to reassure her love. She completely adores “her girls” whom promise to reciprocate that intense love in all ways until the grand reunion. Memaw will be missed by many.

She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, cousins, and lifelong friends.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her daughter, Tiffany S. Scatliffe; her granddaughters, Taylor S. Scatliffe and Hayden M. Scott; her aunt and best friend, Patricia I. McNeil; her sister, Barb Williams; her companion, Marvin Scatliffe; her cousins, Kimberly Kloda and Lori Stevson; along with a host of other relatives and friends that will truly miss her dearly.

A celebration of Memaw’s life will be held at her favorite Bingo Hall, service details are listed below.
