Dana Leigh Carter Jackson, 48, went home to be with the Lord on March 1, 2018.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on March 10 at the graveside, Hickory Grove Cemetery (Lake Park section), Old Bay Springs Road in Laurel.
Dana was born October 2, 1969, and after graduating from R.H. Watkins High School in 1987, she earned a degree in education from the University of Southern Mississippi. She spent the past 30 years living mostly in Coastal Mississippi towns.
A bright thinker and an adventuresome soul, Dana had a contagious wit, laughter, and charm. She was known for her candid disposition and enthusiasm for life and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Carter, and her grandparents, Charles and Elsie Carter.
Survivors include her mother, Donna Ward Bradford; stepfather, Mike Bradford; and two daughters, Morgan and Laurel. Also surviving is half-brother Jason Carter, as well as step-siblings Stacey Ward and Neil Ward.
