James Rivers Obituary

Mr. James Alan Rivers, 53, departed for Life Eternal on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Mr. Rivers was born in Copperas Cove, Texas to the late Homer Jesse Rivers, Sr. and the late Ada Jean Zatko (Rivers), and resided in Biloxi, Mississippi.

James is preceded in death by his father, Homer Jesse Rivers, Sr., and mother, Ada Jean Zatko (Rivers); Grandparents, John S "Bo" and Maxine Rivers; sister, Theresa Y. Carter; uncle, Isaac; and aunt, Faye Matthews.

He is survived by his loving brothers, Jesse Rivers, Vernon "Paul" Rivers, Bruce Rivers, Joey Rivers, and Kelly Rivers; numerous of nieces and nephews; his best friends, Jackie and Jaime Lageer of the Gulf Coast areas and aboard. Special thanks to: Scott Young and family of Young Packaging Company for being his Rock through the Ages, Guardian Angels Funeral Home Funeral Director, Mr. Verno for being there for us in a time of great need, Hospice of Light, and Sunplex Subacute Center for providing professional care and attention to our Brother and Family!
