John Douglas Kendrick Jr.

Captain John Douglas Kendrick Jr. "Rab",  age 61, was a native of Venice, LA and resident of Lucedale, MS for the past 34 years.  On Sunday, November 3, 2019, John passed away at George County Hospital.   He was employed by various merchant marine offshore companies as a boat captain for over 30 years.

He is preceded in death by: his father, John Douglas Kendrick Sr.; brother, Charles Henry Kendrick "BoDean"; sister, Denise Kendrick Swazey; maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Vivian Holland; paternal grandparents, Albert and Irene Kendrick; and special friend, Guy Lynn Buras.

John leaves his survivors to cherish his loving memories: ex-wife, Madeline Rose Landry Kendrick of 34 years; mother and stepfather, Shirley and Stanley Cossé; his sons, Johnny Odell Kendrick and Jason Kyle Kendrick; brother, Roger Dale Kendrick; sisters, Rita Arlene Kraemer and Joy Lynn Perkins; grandchildren, Raigan Olivia Kendrick, Slaton Ray Hancock, Ranson Drake Kendrick, Jordan Blake Kendrick, Justin Cole Kendrick, and MyKenzie Rae Nichols-Cusimano; in-laws, Eurma and Russell “Frenchie” Landry; special friends, Acy Cooper Jr. and David Montgomery; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
