Laura Rawls

Ms. Laura Ruth (Ruthie) Rawls was the third of the six children born to Alston and Athelda Rawls on November 13, 1976, in Pascagoula, MS.  She was a lifelong resident of Moss Point, MS for the majority of her life.  She fell asleep in death at her home on March 19, 2019.  

  She graduated from Moss Point High School in 1995. She attended college at Gulf Coast Community College majoring in Business Management and Health Care Unit. She also attended Surgical Tech School in George County.  On February 2, 2000, she gave birth to her beautiful and beloved daughter, Lauren Danielle Rawls or as she affectionately called her “New New” who was the love of her life. She loved life and traveling with friends and family. She also trusted that our loving heavenly Father Jehovah will keep in his memory those who have fallen asleep in death and raise them back to life in a resurrection that his son Jesus Christ promised to Martha in John 11:25 where he said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life.  The one who exercises faith in me even though he dies, will come to life.” 

She leaves to forever cherish her memory her father and mother Alston and Athelda Rawls, of Moss Point, MS, one sister, Angel Selina Harris (Randy) of Moss Point, MS, four brothers, Alston David Rawls (Katina) of Brookhaven, MS, Michael Chad Rawls (Arlicia) of Pascagoula, MS, John Dexter Rawls of Moss Point, MS, Joseph Clay Rawls (Crystal) of Ocean Spring, MS and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and classmates.
