Meredith (Hearn) Winstead

Mrs. Meredith E. Hearn-Winstead, a resident of Jackson County passed away at home on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, surrounded with love from her family. She was born on February 3, 1932 in Holmes County, to the late Joseph Alfred Hearn and Norris Belle Ziggler.  Mrs. Winstead was a lover of gardening, fishing, hunting, cooking, and loved being a part of Antique Angels.

She was preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband; James Paul Winstead, her mother; Norris Belle Ziggler, and father;  Joseph Alfred Hearn.

Meredith is survived by her three daughters; Shirley Yvonne Rogers of Ocean Springs, MS; Marianne Clay of Lucedale, MS; and Sherry Lynn Nicholas of Mobile, AL, and three sons; Johnny Norris Winstead of Chatom, AL; Marion Lewis (Kurtisha) Winstead of Wade, MS; and Patrick Walton Winstead of Gulfport, MS; she also leaves a brother, David Hearn of Lexington, MS, and a sister Miriam Kilibrew of Caledonia, MS, along with 14 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildern and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives who loved her dearly.
