Roy Lavelle Butler, age 81 of Vancleave, MS was born on Feb. 1, 1938, in Laurel, MS. On Jan. 17, 2020, Roy passed away at his home with family. He was a retiree of Chevron who served as a Marine in one foreign war.

Roy is preceded in death by: his parents, Roy Rasberry Butler and EV Bustin Butler.

He is survived by: his wife of 59 years, Jeanette Rudd Butler; daughter, Lisa Renea Butler Turner; son, Joe Craig Butler; grandchildren, Diana Renea Barnard Cowart and Karin Michelle Barnard Hale; great-grandchildren, Brooks, Audrey, and Cassidy Cowart; and a host of friends and family who will miss him dearly.
