Ruth M Dimitry

Mrs. Ruth Mary Dimitry, 64, passed away and into the arms of Jesus on July 15, 2019, at Ocean Springs Hospital in Ocean Springs, MS.  She was born Dec. 23, 1954, in Portsmouth, VA, grew up in Picayune, MS, and lived many years in Grand Bay, AL.

She was a loving wife and the leader of the family.  In her younger years, she was a professional barber and an artistic dancer.  Ruth, known as Dusty to family and friends, had a huge heart and spent a lifetime helping people and animals in need.  She was selfless and only wanted to boost others.  In her final weeks at the hospital, she was a true inspiration to her family members and medical staff with her courage and good cheer.  She had a great sense of humor.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Paul Anthony Newman and Elsie Bowden Newman, and sister, Linda Young.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Doug Dimitry; children, Michael (Jessica) Warren Jr., Paul Douglas Dimitry, Christopher Lee (Alicia) Warren, and Liam Hope Dimitry; siblings, Hope (Bruce) Newman, Brenda (Raymond) Ross, and Paul Newman; grandchildren, Katlyn Bishop, Gabe Johnson, Lynlei Warren and Caroline; brother-in-law, Allan Young; longtime friend, Michael Hester; and many other relatives and friends.

According to her wishes, there will be no services, but she wanted to send her love to all those people who loved her.
