Teresa Casey

Ms. Teresa Sue (Thomas) Casey, was born in Newton, Mississippi on November 9, 1961, and was a lifelong resident of Gautier, MS, was called home to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 7, 2019, surrounded by family.  She was employed by Liquors Unlimited for many years, until her illness in October 2018.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Lisa Ann Thomas, and her father, William E. Thomas.  She is survived by her mother, Susie A. Thomas; her children, Paul G. (Genna) Casey III; Jessica (Charles) Henry; Jennifer Casey (Jonathan); and Jami Lynn Casey; her grandchildren, Kathy, Annemarie, River and Webb Paul Casey, Mason Henry, Trenton and Levi Jordan, RayLynn Gregory; her sister, Margaret Lynn (Mark) Davidson, and her brother, William H. Thomas, her niece (honorary daughter) Lisa Harrison, as well as her special friend, Bruce Joyce. 

Teresa’s lifelong passion was her special gift as an artist, and with her artwork she impacted and brightened the lives of the many, many people who loved and treasured her, as well as those who may never have known her but saw her art displayed in schools, public places, festivals, and T-shirts.  Besides her art legacy, Teresa’s sweet spirit and gentle soul served as an example of Jesus’s love in this world, as she believed we were all called to do.

A celebration of her life will be held in the near future at an outdoor location near the water, as, besides her own home nestled in the trees, the beach was her favorite place to be.

Her family wishes to thank her Southern Care hospice team, especially her nurse and friend, Tiffany; her employer, Vincent Castigliola, for his many kindnesses to her and her family; and friends too numerous to mention- but you know who you are- for their love and caring during this difficult time.
