Alinda Hunter

Alinda Faye Sims-Hunter was born on October 5, 1951, in Leaksville, MS, to the late Charles E. Sims and Mary E. Sims. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hollis Hunter, her daughter Shalunda B. Hunter, her brothers Marco A. Sims and Charles Sims, and her sister Annie Sims.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Missouria Sims; her sons, Marcus K. Hunter (Venessa Graham-Hunter) and Jothan O. Hunter (La’Keesha Purnell- Hunter); her grandchildren, Brittany, Courtney, Zaria, Jothan, Ja’Myia, Angelina, Madysen, Jothan II, and Mason; her great-granddaughter, Sevyn Cook; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Alinda will always be remembered as a wonderful grandmother with a classy style, an amazing talent for cooking, and a lifelong love of jewelry. Her warmth, grace, and loving spirit touched all who knew her.
