Mr. Bruce Mitchell, a native of Mississippi, was a Pascagoula resident for the past 49 years. He passed away, on May 11th, 2023 at Singing River Hospital, surrounded by his granddaughter, Ashleigh Scott, grandson Aaron Thorne, and sister-in-law Krista Mitchell. He was employed by Huntington Ingalls as a welder, mainly known as the rod room man, for over 35 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ted Mitchell; brother, Mark Mitchell; and daughter, Michelle Karvalot.
He is survived by, his daughters, Hannah Kroner, and Ashleigh Scott; his sons, Teddy Mitchell, and Brian Mitchell; his brothers, Stacy Mitchell, and Keith Mitchell; his grandchildren, Ashleigh Scott, Jonathan Thorne, Aaron Thorne, Vivian Kroner, Brittany Tedder, Branden Tedder, Elijah Tedder, Kaitlin Tedder, Lucas Mitchell, Ella Mitchell, Michael Mitchell, Brianna Mitchell, and Jason Mitchell; his great-grandchildren, Chloe Scott, Mitchell Scott, McKenzie Canterbury, Mia Canterbury, and soon to be Colson Canterbury; his mother, Mary Mitchell; his sister in laws, Krista Mitchell, Debbie Mitchell, and Debra Mitchell; his long time companion, emotional support animals Lucy, pepper and Loki; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and many friends.
