Christopher E Chidester

Christopher E. Chidester, of Biloxi, Miss., passed away on February 18, 2026, at the age of 72. He was born on June 12, 1953, in Lake Charles, La., to Joan (Stockdill) and James Chidester.

Chris will be remembered for his strong passion for fishing, stamp collecting, gardening, baseball, studying history, traveling, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Becky; his son, Nathan (Danielle) Chidester of Overland Park, Kans.; Kevin (Lacey) Wilson of Biloxi, Miss.; and his daughter, Shannon Bennett of Long Beach, Miss. He is also survived by his two grandchildren, Julie and Rachael, who were his entire world; his three brothers, Gary Chidester, Jim Chidester, and Joe (Ming) Chidester; one sister; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

The family has chosen not to hold a funeral or graveside service. Instead, friends and family are warmly invited to gather informally to remember and celebrate his life.

Please join us at his home on Saturday, February 28, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for a casual, come-and-go gathering of conversation and shared memories.
