Christopher Sion Hunt of Gautier, MS was born August 2,1999, in Fort Stewart, GA.

He transitioned from this life to eternal rest on Friday, August 23, 2024.

Chris affectionately nicked named “PHO,” was born to Willie Hunt II & Tequania Sutton-Hunt.

He grew up in Decatur, GA until his family relocated to Gautier, MS which he later made his home. He attended Gautier High School where he was a part of the football team, band and choir. He was inducted into the National Football Foundation Hall of Fame Gulf Coast Chapter and graduated with honors in 2017. Chris was a scholar athlete. He scored a 30 on the ACT and received a full scholarship to Jackson State University.

Chris’s stomach seemed bottomless. It wasn’t unusual for him to request a chocolate mud cake on holidays. When he wasn’t dancing with his grandma, laughing with his friends, or joking around with anyone with a good sense of humor, Chris enjoyed relaxing, listening to music, reading, riding, and spending time with family & friends.

He was proceeded in death by his paternal grandfather Willie Hunt Sr., Great Grandparents, Sylvester & Pearl Sutton, Great Aunts, Sylvia, Latonya and Arnita Sutton, Eula Mae (Frank) Jones, Great Uncles, Sylvester Sutton Jr and Hubert Sutton.

Chris leaves to cherish his memories to his Father, Willie (Towanna) Hunt II of Gautier, MS.
