Clifford Scott Obituary

Clifford Scott, known by his birth name Kim Chung Sheik, was born on November 6, 1953, in South Korea to Kim Kyung Cha. At the age of 10, he was placed for adoption, separated from his family, and later adopted at 14 by Richard and Maxine Scott.

Clifford served in the U.S. Army from 1973 to 1976, after which he began building a life with his own family. In 2019, after years of separation, Clifford was joyfully reunited with his younger brother, Mark Carver, which brought him a sense of closure and connection to his roots.

Clifford is survived by his mother Maxine Scott; siblings Mark Carver (Erica), Rosalie Scott, Dawn Dickens (Jordan), Will Scott, and Joseph Scott; daughter Rhea Scott (James Stringfellow); sons Peter Scott, Chris Scott, and Kevin Scott; grandson Christopher Scott; and granddaughter Samantha Scott. He was preceded in death by his father Richard Scott and his biological mother, Kim Kyung Cha. Still lost to him, his oldest brother Lee Chung Gun.

Clifford’s life was one of resilience, reuniting with family later in life and creating a lasting legacy through his children and grandchildren. He will be remembered for his kindness, strength, and dedication to those he loved.

Services will be held privately, with a celebration of life planned for later this year.
