DOROTHY THOMAS Obituary

Mrs. Dorothy Jean Thomas was born on December 11, 1951, to the late
Mr. Wesley Williams, Sr., and Mrs. Roberta Moses Williams.
Dorothy attended school at Magnolia High School and worked several
years with Bozo's and at the Comfort Inn where she retired and began
enjoying life as a retiree. She departed this life at Ochsner in New
Orleans on March 25, 2024. Her death was such a shocking and
unexpected loss.

Dorothy had the most beautiful, joyous, wonderful spirit, and generous heart. She
enjoyed her family, cats, and bingo. She enjoyed the life she lived with a lot of laughter
and fun. She was a loving caring wife, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Dorothy made
sure to give her flowers to her family and friends while living. She would always call her
family and friends just to check on them. She was an advocate bingo player and
oftentimes had the bingo hall laughing at something she would see or
say. She was never at a loss with encouraging words. She would make it
her business to call her claimed sister, Ms. Barbara Webb to make sure
she was up and ready for bingo. Dorothy was very spiritual and enjoyed
listening to her Gospel songs and the D&D Gospel every Sunday morning.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents: Mr. and Mrs. Wesley
(Roberta) Williams; her paternal grandparents: Jerry and Fannie Mae
Williams; maternal grandparents: Ollie and Annie Moses; three sisters:
Patricia Ann Williams, Nercile Dawson, and Florence Harris; and four
brothers: Joe Lewis Williams, Leroy Williams, Leo Williams and Samuel
L. Williams; nieces: Nercile Yvette Dawson, Catherine Dawson Odom,
Sheila Denise Dawson, and Daisy Dawson Brand, and Barbara A. Dawson, and a
great-niece: Zhondrese Latrice Dawson.

She leaves to cherish with precious loving memories her widower:
Clarence Jr. Thomas; two brothers: Earnest Williams and Wesley
Williams, Jr. both of Moss Point, MS, and one sister: Lenora Williams,
Moss Point, MS; devoted nieces: Jalessa Williams, Helen and Johnnie
E. Dawson; a host of other nieces, nephews, great-nephews and
great-nieces and great-great nephews; devoted friends, Mrs. Annie Mass, Barbara
Webb and family, Connie, Bennie Nettles, Gladys Ducksworth, Betty
Holloway, Carlean Liddell, Jessaumea Williams, Erika Williams, and Janice Nicholson; a
host of cousins, other relatives, friends and
of course her bingo family, too many to name.
