David Cole

David L. Cole, 71, of Gautier, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 26, 2026, surrounded by his family.

He was born in Missoula, Montana, on January 26, 1955, to Ray Cole and Bernice Cole. David attended Sentinel High School in Missoula. In his younger years, he worked in his family's dry cleaning business before starting a career on maritime vessels, traveling from Alaska to Key West, Florida. Later, he owned a successful flooring business, where he installed flooring in office buildings, hotels, casinos, and various commercial properties.

In March 1993, David married his best friend and the love of his life, Cynthia Cole, in Pascagoula, MS. They later moved to Gautier, MS. David enjoyed skiing, playing disc golf, spending time outdoors, and cherishing moments with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Bernice Cole, and his brother, Jim Cole.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Cynthia Cole; his daughter, Leslie (Zack) McLeod; and his son, Seth (Marisa) Currie-Rose. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Ashlynn, Alissa, Aria, and Addison McLeod, and Emerson and Silas Currie-Rose. Additionally, he is survived by his sister, Diana Betts, and his nieces, Lori (Jason) Collins and Trina (Ken) Hanson, as well as his nephew, Jay Tory Betts.
