David Lee Sims Sr.

Mr. David Lee Sims, Sr., age 72, was born on October 14, 1947.  He passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 4, 2020 with his wife, Rosalie, and three of their sons by his side.

At a very young age, David joined the U. S. Marines eventually serving 2 tours in Vietnam.  After serving in the Marines from 1964-1968, he transitioned to the U. S. Army Reserves, until 1973.  The pride he felt for the Marines was only overshadowed by his love for his family.   While still in the Reserves, David met and married Rosalie, whom he remained married to until he passed.  Together, they had four boys; David Jr., Eric, Matthew, and Peter.

David is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rosalie; his four sons; grandchildren; and a great-grandchild, along with other family and friends who loved his dearly.
