David "Trace" Willis III

Mr. David L. Willis III "Trace", age 32, was born on March 23, 1988, in Pascagoula, MS.  On Friday, July 10, 2020, in Mobile, AL, he passed away. He loved to fish, kayak, and go shrimping with his father on the Captain D'boy. He also had a passion for bodybuilding. Trace had a charismatic personality. Loving, funny, and caring are just a few words that describe him. He never met a stranger. His family takes great comfort in knowing how much he loved the Lord.

Preceding him in death is his paternal grandparents, Captain David L. Willis Sr. and Ruby Jean Willis, as well as his maternal grandmother, Carolyn Webb Moorman.

He is survived by his father, David L. (Jamie) Willis Jr.; mother, Carla Mae Moorman Mullis; grandfather, George "Hop" (Doris) Moorman; brother, SrA Acie (Marti) Willis; stepbrother, Austin (Ashleigh) Guerry; niece, Emma Willis; and step-niece and nephew, Autumn and John Guerry; aunts and uncles, Wanda Willis, Bubba Rowell, Judy Willis Miller, Britton (Scott) Willis Parker, Randy Moorman, Wanda Kay Moorman, Danny (Jeri) Moorman, and Stevie Moorman; numerous cousin and many great friends; his dog, Ryder; and last but not least the love of his life Amanda Long of Mobile, AL.
