Mr. Edward Lamar Morgan Sr., a native of McCool, MS, and resident of Vancleave, MS for the past 26 years passed on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at home. He was a longtime member of the Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness. He was employed with Halter Marine as a Pipe Welder Supervisor and he also was a veteran of the U.S Air Force serving in The Korean War.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Iva Etta Black Morgan; father, Harrison Clay Morgan; brothers, Josh Morgan, Willie Morgan, Elmer Morgan, Harrison Morgan Jr., Dee Morgan, and Clifton Morgan; sisters, Mamie Shuler, Lena Shuler, Lorene Wasson, Betty Rushing, Estelle Stevenson Mulan, and Earlene Schoskocky; grandchildren, Ryan Clark and Shawn Powell; great-grandchildren, Garret Morgan and Ava Kate Lucido; and a special friend, Joel Rogers.
He is survived by his wife, Hilda Self Morgan of 66 years; his daughters, Wanda Clark, Brenda Morgan, Freda Murphy, Rhonda Davis, and Kathy Keith; his sons, Edward Lamar Morgan Jr., and Timothy Clay Morgan; his 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 future grandchild; special friends, Dick Rogers, Rick McElroy, and Milton Cullins; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
A memorial service will be held via Zoom Saturday, November 28, 2020, at 9:30 am.
