Elbert Redmon III was born February 2, 1974, in Vicksburg, MS, to Elbert Redmon, Jr. and the late Linda Cole-Redmon. Elbert was a very hardworking man, even during his untimely health decline. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, family member, and friend. He was a man of many jokes and a great time; Elbert was a man who truly enjoyed life with no regrets. He was a joyful man who kept a smile upon his face, and you would never see his true pain.
On March 23, 2026, Elbert transitioned from life to eternal life. His homegoing has left a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Cole-Redmon, and one grandson, Antonio Miller, Jr.
Elbert leaves to cherish his memory: his father, Elbert (Rosie) Redmon, Jr. of Rolling Fork, MS; four daughters, Michelle Brown Miller and Shanterrica Redmon of Vicksburg, MS, Shantell Redmon of Memphis, TN, and Destiny Williams of Leland, MS; one son, Elbert Redmon, IV of Vicksburg, MS; three sisters, Sharnell Thomas and Nicola (Larry) Smith of Greenville, MS, and Corrina (Larry) Riley of Garland, TX; three brothers, Evan Redmon and Elton Redmon, Sr. of Rolling Fork, MS, and Keith (LaQuanda) Redmon of Greenville, MS; and five grandchildren, Aysha Miller, Aiden Redmon, Ja’Nylah Miller, Hazley Miller-Waston, and Leela Brown.
He also leaves to cherish a special friend, Lakiesha Cartlidge; extended sons-in-law, sons, daughters, and grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
(God called Elbert and he answered… Rest on, our love, until we meet again…)
