Mrs. Evelyn Smith-Berry passed away from this earthly world on October 28, 2024. She was born in Prentiss, MS, and had a deep love for singing. For most of her life, she worked at Sanderson’s Farm. Her family, both immediate and within the church community, meant everything to her. She possessed the remarkable ability to make friends near and far, dedicating her time and energy to her fellowship. Evelyn had a sweet tooth, particularly for butterscotch, peanut butter, and coffee-flavored candies. Her love for the Lord was so powerful that it could fill a room. Not a single day went by without her sharing the love, light, and stories of God. Her prayers were unwavering, and her faith never faltered.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, brother, and sister.
She is survived by her daughter, Seritha Smith; son, Willie Albert Berry; her grandchildren, Nykendrick K. Smith, Nykenyia L S Smith, Christopher A. Smith, Verilyn B. Smith, and Eveynn K. Smith; her granddaughters, Arayah K M Jackson, and Charleigh A. Smith.
