George Mertz Obituary

Mr. George Patrick Mertz, a native of Jacksonville, FL and a resident of Gautier, MS for the past 46 years, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Ocean Springs Hospital.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Mertz and his mother, Edna Jackson.

George is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patsy Mertz; only daughter, Shauna Mertz Lucas; two brothers, Jimmy and Sonny; two sisters, Robin and Lisa; two grandchildren, Rhiannon Lucas and Michaela Lucas; sister-in-law and special friend, Chris Reyna; and a host of nieces and nephews that love him dearly.
