Janice Johnson

Janice Carol Reeves Johnson passed away peacefully among loved ones on February 9th, 2026, at Singing River Hospital. She was born August 30th, 1948, to the late Rose Lucille Nolan Roberts and Joe Kenneth Reeves.

Janice loved spending time with friends and family, especially her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She had a long career, worked well past retirement age, using her talents to help others in several different fields. She was kind hearted and non-judgmental, and had a never-ending desire to help others, often stopping to offer a meal to someone in need, with little regard for her own meager means.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Rose Lucille Roberts, Joe Kenneth Reeves, and Ruble Henry Roberts; son Scott Johnson, and brother-in-law Jackie Culpepper.

She leaves to cherish her memory a sister Peggy Culpepper, a brother Jerry (Jill) Roberts, sons Kenny (Bethany) Johnson, Todd (Jasmine) Johnson, Chadd Johnson; step-son Royce (Cathey) Johnson; grandchildren Laci (Cody) Sigrest, Brittany (Robert) Brewer, Seth Johnson, Kaine Price, Hayden Johnson, Kyle Johnson, Noah Johnson, and Nathan Johnson; and a host of greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and other loved ones.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday, February 28th in the parish hall of St John’s Episcopal Church in Pascagoula from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.

The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to her doctors, Singing River Hospital, and Hospice of Light, and all of their staff members for their commitment to both patients and their families during very difficult times.
