Jeremy Lamont Tucker

On April 13, 2020, the Lord in his infinite wisdom called home to rest one of his children, Jeremy LaMont Tucker. He was born on April 17, 1978 in Jacksonville, Alabama to Jacqueline G. Wade (Clarence) and Anthony Jones.

At an early age, he confessed Christ and joined the New Haven Baptist Church in Milton, NC.

He received his formal education in the public schools of Caswell County and Talladega County.  He was a 1996 graduate of Talladega High School in Talladega, AL.

Jeremy was an electrician and loved working on different projects to provide his expertise. He was a jokester and could make you laugh at the oddest things. He also loved meeting people and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Jeremy was a member of Ashler Lodge #49 in Richmond, Kentucky which presides in the jurisdiction of Most Worshipful Prince Grand Lodge Free & Accepted Masons of Kentucky, INC.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joseph E. Garland and Ernestine Garland, and one uncle, Edward A. Garland.

Jeremy leaves to cherish his memory: his sons, DeMontez Branch of Milton, NC and LaMonte Tucker of Talladega, AL; one daughter, Shemia Fontaine of Danville, VA; his mother, Jacqueline G. Wade of Milton, NC; his father, Anthony Jones of Pascagoula, MS; two brothers, Anthony Jones Jr. and Isaiah Jones both of Chicago, IL; one sister, Shana (Derrick) McMillan of Gautier, MS; one niece, Chloe Davis of Gautier, MS;  one nephew, Dylan Mann of Gautier; paternal grandmother, Arlene Blackstone of Pascagoula, MS; stepfather, Eddie (Meriam) L. Tucker of Talladega, AL; a very special friend, Melissa Hill of Richmond, Kentucky; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
