Jerry Hiestand

Mr. Jerry Louis Hiestand of Moss Point, MS went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the age of 66. 

Jerry was born to parents Donald and Agnes Hiestand on November 6, 1954 in Moss Point, MS.  He worked at Ingalls Shipbuilding for 27-years and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, hunting, fishing, watching the History Channel, and being around his beloved dogs.

Jerry leaves behind his devoted wife of 47 years, Carla Hollingsworth Hiestand.  He is also survived by his daughter, Connie Hiestand-Jackson (Brett), his son Jared Donald Hiestand (Jennifer), two granddaughters Taylor and Presley Jackson, siblings Gloria Long (Tom), Dicky Hiestand, Eddie Hiestand, Dale Hiestand (Jan), and Gale Miller (David), and many nieces and nephews.  Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Agnes Rosalie Hiestand and father, Donald Richard Hiestand.  

As per Jerry’s request, there will be no services.  He requested to be cremated and to have his ashes spread in Bayou Coleson. We will carry Jerry in our hearts forever and honor his memory every day.
