Mrs. Joanne Kristen Hansberger Dominguez, a native of Orange County, California, and a resident of Ocean Springs, MS for the past 30 years, passed away comfortably at her home on July 27 th, 2020. Joanne was employed as a surgical recovery nurse for many years, working at the Biloxi VA Hospital, Ocean Springs Hospital, and Singing River Hospital. She also worked as a home-health nurse and at OxyPro Medical Supply Company before retiring.
She is preceded in death by her mother Fern Evelyn Hardison and her brother Daniel Jay.
Joanne is survived by her husband of 36 years, Robert “Bobby” Dominguez; her daughter, Genesis Larsen (Justin Larsen); her sons, David Dominguez and Michael Dominguez, her step-son Robbie and her step-daughter Dana; She is also survived by her father, Donald Hansberger and her step-mother, Margie Hansberger, both of Winchester, California; her sisters, Terri Hansberger Wright, Leslie Hansberger Peterson, and her sister-in-law, Carolyn Wills Jay, a step-sister, Cheryl Parker, a step-brother, Tim Lanham, as well as her Aunts Kris Hardison Eberhardt, Jo An Touchstone Uncles Randy (Sheila) Hardison and Delton Hardison, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. She loved and cherished her grandchildren Lila Larsen, Miles Dominguez, Emily Dominguez, Malanni Dominguez, Miira Dobbins, Keke Dobbins, Katie Poley, Krysta Poley, Micah Payne, Destin Dominguez, Blake Dominguez, Tyler Dominguez, and Zach Dominguez, and one great-grandchild, Westyn Wigley. A memorial in her honor will be held in late August. Joanne loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren; her home was covered in pictures of them. She loved to give gifts, and send letters and cards to her family and friends. Donations may be made in her honor to The Lord is My Help Meals on Wheels Program of Ocean Springs. The family of Mrs. Dominguez would like to thank the Ocean Springs Hospital Surgical ICU team, the Select Specialty Hospital staff, and the Hospice of Light for caring for her with so much love and attention.
