Joey Russell Besancon Sr.

Joey Besançon Sr., was born March 20, 1967 in New Orleans, LA.  On November 29, 2024, Joey transitioned to his Heavenly home.  A man of charm, passion, and a heart full of love, Joey touched countless lives. Known for his magnetic personality and quick wit, he was admired as a true ladies’ man, yet his greatest devotion was to his beloved, Ryan. An avid fisherman, he found peace on the water, casting his line and sharing tales of his biggest catch. A collector of treasures, a connoisseur of good beer, and a masterful teller of jokes, Joey brought joy and laughter wherever he went. 

Joey is preceded in death by his wife, Ryan Besancon.

He is survived by his children, Brittany (Walt) Schmidt, Joey (Brittany) Besancon, Daltyn Besancon,  and Mia Besancon;  parents, Edward Besancon Sr. and Brenda Scott Harkleroad; grandchildren, Payton, Kinley, Gatlin, and Mason;  brothers, Eddie (Dolores) Besancon Jr. (nieces, Nancy, Dulcie, and Elise) & David (Lisa) Besancon (nephew, Wesley Besancon).
