John Sidney Garner
John Sidney Garner, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many, passed away on August 2nd, 2024 in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. He was born on October 15th, 1960 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He was a lifelong resident of Pascagoula Ms.
John retired after 36 years at Ingalls shipbuilding where he was a dedicated sheet metal mechanic. He poured his heart and soul into his work. His craftsmanship and attention to detail were unmatched as he tirelessly pursued perfection in every project he undertook. But beyond his professional accomplishments, John's true passion laid in the simple joys of life.
He spent countless hours on the water. It was there that he felt most at home—Any given weekend you could find him on his boat surroundedby nature, hair in the wind under the open sky. John cherished these moments.
Nothing brought him more joy than being surrounded by his multitude of friends whom he held dear to his heart. Their laughter echoed through countless memories shared together—a testament to their enduring bond.
But above all else, John treasured spending time with his family—especially with his daughters Angela Crump (James) and Candace Setosta (Isid)—and grandchildren Sidney, Cameron, Dallas ,Maxton, and Shiloh who were truly the light of his life. His love for them knew no bounds.
In addition to being a loving father and grandfather, John also leaves behind brothers Joey Garner and Jerry Garner (Jennifer), and the mother of his children Renea Ard-Garner who will forever carry fond memories of their times together.
His passing has left an irreplaceable void within their hearts that can never be filled.
He is proceeded in death by his Father Jerry Garner. Mother Linda Garner, Sister Julie "Lynn" Garner, and brother Justin "Jake" Garner.
A man whose presence illuminated every room he entered; John touched countless lives with kindness and generosity.
