John Smith

John Buford "JB" Smith was born in Jackson County, Mississippi on 5 March 1957.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ira Walter Smith and Annie Jacqueline Nolf-Smith, brothers: Walter Jo (JW) Smith, Jerry Drew (JD) Smith and a sister Velma Rhea Smith-Fairley.

JB is loved and will be missed greatly by his siblings: Thomas L (TL) Smith, Ira Clayton (IC) Smith, Helen Marie Smith, Jacqueline Annette Smith-Moore and Nathaniel Udell (Dale) Smith.

JB was married at a young age to Ginger Carter which resulted in the birth of his son John Daniel Smith in 1973.

JB married Faye Porter, the love of his life, 42 years ago and they have two sons: John Nathaniel Porter and Jonathan Walter Smith.

JB lost his battle with cancer and went to a heavenly resting place on Monday, 01 April 2019, at the Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula, Jackson County, Mississippi.
