Joyce Jones

Mrs. Joyce Marie Jones, age 77, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2024. She was a resident of Pascagoula, MS for over 50 years. Joyce was born on February 10, 1946 in Bigbee, AL to the Late Odell Easley and Jessie Merle Schmitz. She was a welder at Ingalls Shipbuilding for 26 years before retiring in 2007. Joyce was a creative person who enjoyed making oil paintings that will be cherished by many long after her passing.

Joyce was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 22 years, Raymond R. Jones; father, Odell Easley; mother, Jessie Merle Schmitz; brother, Jimmy Easley; and sisters, Ann Easley, Ellen Vaughn, and Sharron Frierson.

She is survived by her daughter, Michele L. Scearce; sons, Jeffrey A. Gregory, Kenneth W. Gregory, and Scott O. Gregory; grandchildren, Jessica Gregory, Marissa Gregory, Kenny Gregory, Katie Gregory, Andy (Holly) Gregory, Tiffany (Whitney) Hamilton, and Brianna Scearce; great-grandchildren, Natalie Beasley, Rosalie Foleu, Riley Sands, Gio Kanaris, Rory Gregory, Asher Gregory, Emma Gregory, Gunner Atkins, Paesleigh Atkins, and Jaxton Parrish; sons-in-law, Raymond Colburn and Cliff Stoddard; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will miss her deeply.

Joyce will always be remembered for her kindness, creativity, and dedication to her family and career.
