Julissa Eunique Dottery

On Monday, April 20, 2026, our beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend, Julissa Eunique Dottery, was called home.

Julissa was born on May 23, 2005, in Pascagoula, Mississippi, as the firstborn child of Christy L. Dottery and M. Micheal Butchee.

Julissa was a member of Community of Christ in Moss Point, Mississippi, where she loved to participate in praise dancing. She was also actively involved in DELTA Academy and Delta G.E.M.S. until her health declined.

She attended College Park Elementary, Gautier Elementary, Lake Elementary, Trent Lott Academy, Colmer Middle School, and Pascagoula High School. Julissa’s vitality was unmatched, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Julissa had a passion for anime, hair, nails, makeup, music, singing, and dancing. She also enjoyed swimming, bowling, and spending time with her family. She took great pride in caring for her little sister and cherished moments spent playing in the park. She never missed an opportunity to support her brother Haveon in anything he did. Julissa aspired to become a pediatric nurse.

Julissa was preceded in death by her grandfather, Charles Edward Dottery, Sr., and her uncle, Charles Edward Dottery, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory: her mother, Christy L. Dottery of Pascagoula, Mississippi; her father, M. Micheal Butchee of Long Beach, Mississippi; her maternal grandmother, Nedra L. Williams of Pascagoula, Mississippi; her paternal grandparents, Alphonso (Debora) Joiner of Long Beach, Mississippi; her brothers, Haveon Dottery of Pascagoula, Mississippi, Dominique (Mariah) Major of Covington, Georgia, and Johnny Bostic of Daytona Beach, Florida; and her sisters, Michaela (George) Simmons of Houston, Texas, Epiphany Joy Butchee of Long Beach, Mississippi, and Serenity Butchee of Phoenix, Arizona.
