Lanette Campbell Obituary

Mrs. Lanette Elaine Krog (Bauer) Campbell, 71, was born to Robert Charles Krog and Emily Jane (Powell) Krog on October 11, 1949, in Wessington Springs, South Dakota.  She attended Gann Valley High, Sardis High, and Wessington Springs High Schools.  Later, she studied at The Steward School of Hair Styling in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

She was the second child of this union and preceded in death by a brother, Gary Lee Krog, but is survived by a Brother, Cary Lynn Krog, and three sisters, Julie Ann Krog (Einck), Bonita Marie Krog (Moe), and Elva Jane Krog (Einck).

Her first marriage was to Gene Bauer with four children born to this union:  Lance, Tierreny, LaGena, and ValGene.  She also had six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  Her second husband is Dave Campbell, a retiree, of Chevron and a resident of Pascagoula, MS, and is survived by all.

Lanette had a boat canvassing business and was very sought after by boat owners because of the high quality of her workmanship.  She always took pride in doing the best job she could in everything she did whether it was being a seamstress or artist.  She loved to paint flowers and portraits of her family.  She taught many others to paint flowers and became friends with many of her students.  She was always casting about in search of new relationships and friendships.  In this, she was much like her father who liked to talk to anybody and everybody they met.  She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  She is already missed by those of us who remain on this side of life but is even now being greeted by friends and family that have preceded her in death.  Her final thought to others now left behind is:  May we all meet again at Jesus’ feet.  I am glad I knew you in my way loved you one and all.  I already miss you, too.  This is not the end.  We will be reunited, and I look forward to carrying on our many relationships from this life.  Thank you for being my friend.
