Mrs. Lena Faye McBeath Grady Jones was born to the late Emma Jean Thomas and Leroy McBeath on July 23, 1937, in Philadelphia, MS.
Lena was a God-fearing woman who accepted Christ at an early age. She received her education and graduated high school from Neshoba County. During her early adulthood, she moved to Pascagoula, MS with her husband, Heartha Grady. They raised their family while she worked at Ingalls Shipbuilding, Inc., and Pascagoula High School, as a cook. After the death of her husband, Heartha, she then met and continued her family with R. W. Jones, Sr. They were together 30 years until his sudden death in 1995. For the majority of her life, Lena was a homemaker and a well-respected woman in her community. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, fishing, and caring for her children and grandchildren. She has resided in Moss Point, MS for the past 43 years.
Lena made her transition from earth on October 24, 2021, in the comfort of her home. She is joined in eternal rest by her grandmother, Carlena Hudson Brantley Thomas Thames; her mother, Emma Jean Thomas; her father, Leroy McBeath; and husbands, Heartha Grady and R.W. Jones, Sr.
