Mr. Leon A Sharp, age 56, was born on August 28, 1964, in Washington Parrish, LA, and later became a resident of Moss Point, MS until he passed away on February 20, 2021, at Singing River Hospital, in Pascagoula, MS.
He was a happy-go-lucky person. Leon loved football and was a devoted fan of LSU and the Minnesota Vikings. Leon followed in his father’s footsteps as a longtime operator, as a Grader for different companies, and enjoyed his work until his illness.
Mr. Sharp is preceded in death by his parents, Murphy D Sharp and Betty J Hodges Sharp; an aunt, Tena Sharp Myles; and his unborn brothers.
He leaves to survive his memories to his son, Leon Slaton, and his daughters, Amber Wallace, and Kirsten Wallace; his loving and devoted sister, Julia Oswald; one granddaughter, Olivia Wallace, and a grandson, Rayland Wallace; an absolute best friend, his dog, Little Foot; a fiancé, Marsha Slaton; his friends, Randy Varnado and Michael “Bear” Carroll, along with many cousins and other friends that will miss him dearly.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Singing River Hospice Care of Singing River Hospital for the care that was given to their loved one.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like all donations to be submitted to Singing River Hospice Care.
A memorial burial service will be announced at a later date for the burial of Mr. Sharp’s cremains to be held at the Sharp Cemetery, in Franklinton, LA.
