She is survived by her siblings Rose Sanders, Janet Fornett, Roy (Starletta) Fornett, Marion Fornett, and Nadine (Jimmie) Wilson, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Linda graduated from Carver High School in 1967 and MGCCC with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She worked for 18 years at the Jackson County Youth Shelter, where she poured her heart into helping children feel safe, valued, and loved during some of their most difficult moments. Her compassionate nature and steadfast dedication made a difference in countless young lives. She also spent five years working at Ingalls Shipbuilding.
Linda's vibrant personality and joyful spirit lit up every room she entered. She had a way of making people feel seen and loved. Her warmth and compassion left a lasting impact on everyone she met. Her faith in God was her anchor, and she lived a life marked by grace and gratitude.
Linda King’s memory will live on in the many lives she touched. Though she will be deeply missed, we rejoice and take comfort in knowing she is now resting in the arms of the Lord.
