Linda Wells Obituary

Linda Bernice Windham-Wells was born to Charlene Armistead-Windham and James Alton Windham on November 8, 1956, in Biloxi, Mississippi.  She entered eternal rest with her Lord after a short illness on June 28, 2022, at 65 years old in Pascagoula, Mississippi.

Among her greatest academic accomplishments were the completion of degrees from the University of Southern Indiana (Bachelor degree in Business Administration), and the University of Evansville (Bachelor degree in Accounting).

Most of Linda's adult life was spent in Evansville, Indiana, but in her later years, she made a full circle and returned to her home and birthplace, the Gulf Coast of Mississippi.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Charlene Armistead Windham-Tillis, father, James Alton Windham, and husband, Donald William Wells.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Windham-Nold-Woolems; son, Anthony (Butch) Nold; companion and emotional support animal, Peppe; father, Harley Donald (Jan) Tillis Sr.; sisters, Sandra (Keith) Tillis-Reising, and Sherrie Lynn Windham; brothers, Harley Donald (Stephanie) Tillis Jr., Steve Bruce (Kelley) Tillis, Terry Lee (Ethel) Windham, and Jerry Alton Windham; special friends, Tony Nold and Darryl Duncan; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends.

Linda's wishes were to have a farewell boat ride to Horn Island.

Her ashes will be spread by family at Horn Island after a private memorial service. 

In lieu of flowers, the family request you contribute to an animal rescue center of your choice in honor of Linda.

Angels are sisters who've moved far away.
