Linda "Lindy" Murray Obituary

Ms. Lindy Mae Murray, age 64, was a native of Dittmer, Missouri, and a resident of Mobile, AL for the past 12 years.  She passed away on September 01, 2021, from COVID-19 at a local hospital surrounded by family, and her best friend, Tracy Buzbee, and sister-in-law, Cecelia Jobe.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Virginia “Jackie” Mae Cook, and her father, Glenn Murray, and her siblings, Edwin Bruce, Stephan Gregory, and Jessie Elaine.

Lindy leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews that she treated as her own children, Nancy, Ginger, Shylo, Dena, Candy, Amy, Lisa, Lynn, Angie, and Jessie; her nephews, Hayes, Stephan, Jr., Todd, and Curtis; her best friend, Tracy; and her sister-in-law, Cecelia Jobe; and a host of other relatives and many friends that will all miss her dearly.

A celebration of life for Lindy will be held at a time and location to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lindy’s favorite charities (any certified animal rescue of your choice) in her name or to Nancy Mondragon for her final expenses.  Lindy was a dog lover:

  • For Pet's Sake (Bay St. Louis, MS)
  • Just for Pits (Gulfport, MS)
  • Amazing Grace Bully Rescue (Pensacola, FL)
  • Phoenix Rising Rescue (Pensacola, FL)
  • Bailey’s Bullies (Hattiesburg, MS)

Anything sent to Nancy Mondragon will be divided among all the amazing rescues on the Gulf Coast after Lindy and her affairs are taken care of.
