Logan Reid Obituary

Logan Lee Reid, a young man whose heart was as large as his presence, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026. At just eighteen years old, Logan left this world far too soon, but the impact of his genuine spirit and infectious laughter will remain a beacon for all who knew him.

Born with a heart of gold, Logan was a native of Jackson County, Mississippi, where he had resided for the past nine years. Standing 6 feet 1 inch and weighing 240 pounds, he was often affectionately called a "gentle giant." He truly never met a stranger and had a rare gift for warming the hearts of others, regardless of the hardships life placed in his path.

Logan was a young man of many talents—a true jack-of-all-trades. He was currently employed by Hot Rods Tire as a tire technician, a role that suited his hardworking nature. When he wasn’t working, he was embracing the freedom of the outdoors. Logan was at his happiest when he was hunting, fishing, or being out on the water. His passion for machinery and speed was evident to everyone; he could often be found riding four-wheelers and motorcycles or skillfully operating heavy equipment. When he finally slowed down, he enjoyed the camaraderie of gaming with his friends.

Logan passed away while in the company of his friend, Nathan Furby. He was a wonderful blessing from God whose personality shone brightly, even in difficult times. He was deeply loved by his family and his wide circle of friends, all of whom will miss his laughter and his unwavering kindness.

Logan is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William Harris, and his paternal grandparents, Dewey Reid, Teresa Smith, and Tony Smith.

His memory will be cherished forever by those he leaves behind, including his mother, Mandy Harris, and his devoted and loving father, Daniel Reid. He is also survived by his brother, Tyler Reid; his grandmother, Cindy Harris; and his aunts, Lacey Harris and Alicia Smith. He will be fondly remembered by his like uncle, Daniel, and his godfather, Teddy Hollman.

His legacy of friendship lives on through his special friends: Robert, Little Daniel, Nathan, and Alex, along with a host of extended family members and friends who were lucky enough to call him their own.

Though his life was short, Logan lived it with a full heart and a helping hand for anyone in need. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
