It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Ms. Louise Spann Cowan, a mother, grandmother, and a friend. Ms. Louise was born on November 19,1945, in Monroeville, Alabama. Louise transitioned peacefully, with her family gathered around at the age of 79.
Ms. Cowan was employed by Moss Point School District as an executive secretary for 30 years. She dedicated her time to mentoring students at the Moss Point School District. Ms. Louise enjoyed making flower arrangements, watching football on the weekends, and working on crossword puzzles in her spare time.
Ms. Louise was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Blackmon, aunt Ruth Blackmon.
Louise leaves behind memories and love, she is survived by her two sons, Michael Cowan (Stephanie) of Ocean Springs, MS and Christopher Cowan of Gautier MS. A host of grandchildren, Carlos Liddell, Symone Beard, Makayla Cowan, Braylon Cowan, Khadajah Cowan, Christian Cowan, Ethan Cowan, Evan Cowan, Austin Cowan, and a devoted friend Calvin Thomas.
A private service will be held with her family.
