Marnie Jeanne Thomas transitioned from this Earth on Thursday, September 14th, 2023, in the comfort of her Vancleave, Mississippi home, surrounded by warmth and love of her cherished family. She valiantly fought a prolonged battle with metastatic breast cancer, demonstrating unwavering strength, grace and faith throughout. She has now transitioned into a place of eternal peace.
Marnie is survived by her devoted husband, Walter Neal Thomas, who stood by her side as a pillar of strength. Their love story, enduring through all of life’s challenges, serves as inspiration to all who know them. She is also survived by their two beloved children, Jonathon Morgan Thomas and Taylor Carlson Thomas, who carry forward her enduring legacy of strength, kindness, and indomitable spirit.
Born on July 22nd, 1968, in the beautiful town of Minot, North Dakota, Marnie’s life journey took her across many states where she cultivated enduring friendships that enriched her life beyond measure. Her adventurous spirit led her to travel all over the globe in search of new experiences and memorable vacations with the ones she loved. Marnie’s journey was a testament to her boundless love for life, a truly unique and beautiful experience that touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In addition to her immediate family, Marnie leaves behind her loving parents, John Paul Bottko and Nancy Lousie Bottko, who instilled her unwavering compassion and a strong faith to stand on. She is also survived by her sister, Amy Beth Morrison, and her family, including Keith, Peyton, Cameron, and Cole Morrison, who share countless memorable moments filled with the deep love only sisters can share.
As we bid farewell to Marnie, let us remember the love she gave, the strength she embodied, her infectious enthusiasm, and her capacity to find joy in the simplest of things. In her memory, let us continue to embrace life’s challenges with grace and love just as she did. Though she may have left this world, her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing her.
