Mary King Obituary

Mary Deloris King was born on August 5, 1955, to the late Willie Lee and Willie Mae King. She raised her three children as a single mother until she met Seab J. Houston who shared a partnership and co-parenting until her children were grown.

Mary attended Carver High School in Pascagoula, Mississippi, and was a member of The Hard Hitter Club which she and her friends created.

She worked as a painter at Ingalls Shipbuilding and also worked at Jackson County as a laborer for the road department. She worked in private duty healthcare before her health failed her. She was a member of the Mississippi Magnolia Homemaker Club in Moss Point. Mary was dedicated to Jesus Christ and was a member of Holy Temple Church of Jesus Christ, where she served as secretary and missionary. She transitioned to her membership later with Faith in the Word Ministries where she served as missionary.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Elsie L. Williams, J.L. King, Dorothy R. Adams, Alexander L. King, and Willie L. King, Jr.; granddaughter, Anika Smith; and friends, Elizabeth Bivens and Amanda Autrey.

Mary is survived by her three loving and devoted children, Shamene King of Pascagoula, Gloria King of Moss Point, and Clifton (Shureka) King of Biloxi, MS.; two sister-n-laws, Joyce King of Moss Point and Mary Fairley-King of Pascagoula; two devoted son-n- laws, Aaron James and Michael Bradley; thirteen grandchildren; her live in care-giver, Shanika Smith; her devoted, Marshon King, Rashon Smith Jr., Marquavius (Jieya) King, Ladarrius King, Mykirah Bradley, Jaquez King, Mahogany Bradley, and Amaryell King, Cymarion, Cymaria King, and Clifton King Jr.; seven great-grandchildren; a loving and devoted friend and fiancé, Mr. Macarthur Croon; and a devoted niece, Barbara Molden.

She loved her host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. She never stopped talking about her Loving and devoted nieces who put on a special Thanksgiving 2022 just for her. Mary had a host of friends Lillian Villareal, Bobby Clarke, Keisha and Keitha Dailey, Beverly Montgomery, Cynthia King, Theresa Fountain, Sandra Hyde, Vera (sug) Harrison, Calle Young and The Kelly Girls, God children, Jerome Turk, Jasmine White, Torrence Autrey, a host of other relatives, special cousins and friends.
