Mary Tonie

Mrs. Mary Tonie, age 66, was a lifelong native and resident of Moss Point, MS. On Thursday, April 27, 2023, Mary transitioned from this earthly world to her eternal resting place. Mary had many joys in life like gardening, sewing, and most of all, spending time with her family whom she loved dearly. For many years, she was employed by Kings Inn Motel in Pascagoula, MS, as a supervisor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Joe Tonie; father, Booker T. Magee; mother, Elmira Magee; maternal grandparents, Irma and James Buckhalter; paternal grandparents, Richard and Luversa Magee; and brother, Bobby B. Magee.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Stacy Magee; sons, Tracy Magee and Cornelius Magee; brothers, Mitchell Benjamin and Commander Sgt. Major Michael Benjamin; sisters, Theresa (Edward) Magee-Reels, Tammy Benjamin, Rochelle Magee Jones, and Kim Magee; grandchildren, Jamarcus Magee, Jaelyn Magee, Trayquwan Shelton, Antria Magee, Gabrial Magee, Latrasa Magee, Alicia Magee, Octavia Jones, Zyniah Magee, and Zaiden Magee; great-grandchildren, Jameila Magee and My’Kell Magee; special friends, Carolyn Molden and Tommy Packer; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
