Michael Joseph Tucker

Michael Joseph "Joey" Tucker, age 62, of Pascagoula passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at his
home in Pascagoula, MS. He was an industrial painter for over 35 years and previously spent time as a
shrimper. Joey enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, listening to music, and shooting the
breeze.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Nina Joan Linder Smith; his father, John H. Smith; and five of his
brothers, Paul Tucker, Karl “Bubba” Tucker, Johnny Smith, Danny Smith, and Tommy Smith.

Joey is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Lavelva Tucker; his son, Nathan (Amber) Tucker; his
daughter, Amanda (Scott) Tucker McNeil;  his five grandchildren, James McNeil, April McNeil, Abigail
McNeil, Sadie Tucker, and Natalie Tucker; his step-father, Don Whelan; his brothers, David Smith,
Ricky Smith, and Randy Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as other relatives and friends.
