Norman Andrew Tapper, 86, of Helena, Mississippi left us to be reunited with the Lord on Friday, July 26th, 2024. He was born in Coden, Alabama on September 25th, 1937. He moved to Mississippi in his early childhood, Norman was known to his family as a Carpenter and a Boat Builder. He pursued a naturalist life never outgrowing his love of the outdoors housing chickens, horses, rabbits, and more. He was known as Tapper, Andrew, Daddy, or Paw Paw by those who loved him. His strength and dexterous abilities are cherished by those who knew him. He was a respected family member who prioritized the serenity of his home. He will be greatly missed. Family gatherings will not be the same without him.
He is survived by Joan (Sharon) his loving wife of 38 years, his former wife Linda Coleman Tapper; the mother of his 7 children. His sister, EmmaJean Madere (Stormy)(Jackie), and sons Norman Wesley Tapper, Kenneth Tapper, Lonnie Tapper. His daughters, Charlene Tapper, Margaret “Ann” (Lenny) Dixon. As well as his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, other family members, and special friends
