Sharon Luke was born on June 19, 1949, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the late Sadie Louise Wallace and James A. Wallace. She entered eternal rest surrounded by care and compassion.
Sharon was preceded in death by her father, James A. Wallace; her mother, Sadie Louise Wallace Delancey; her beloved daughter, Tammy Lynn Luke Delancey; her sister, Grovene Wallace Towles; and her grandfather, James Wilson (pawpaw).
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Billy and Betty Cobb, along with a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins who will cherish her memory.
Sharon had an extreme love for her animals and truly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She shared a special bond with her dear friend, Larry Ely, who was her best friend for many years. Sharon is now reunited in heaven with her daughter, Tammy Lynn, whom she lost at the age of 11 in 1984, just in time to celebrate Tammy’s birthday on December 19th. What a beautiful reunion that must be.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff of Hospice and the Plaza Nursing Center for the compassionate care shown to Sharon.
Sharon will be remembered for her love, warmth, and the memories she leaves behind in the hearts of those who knew her.
