Shawn Allen Smith

Shawn Allen Smith, 46, of Moss Point, Mississippi, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2023, at Singing River Health System Pascagoula Hospital in Pascagoula, Mississippi. He was born on Feb. 8, 1976, in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Ronald and Dorothy (Huff) Smith. Shawn lived most of his life in Scottsburg, Indiana, where he attended Scottsburg High School. On July 25, 2015, he married Toni G. (White) Smith, who survives. He loved being with his family, going fishing, listening to music, and singing karaoke. He never met a stranger and everyone loved him. He had such a huge heart for everyone. 

In addition to his wife Toni, he is survived by one daughter, Shianne (Savanna) Smith of Ewing, Kentucky; one son, Ronald E. (Alyssa) Smith of Charlestown, Indiana; one stepson, Zachary Utley of Austin, Indiana; one granddaughter, Josalina of Charlestown, Indiana; and three bonus grandchildren, Jaxson, Jemma, and Jada of Charlestown, Indiana; one sister, Janean (John) Lahrman of Jeffersonville, Indiana; his mother-in-law, Loretta Haven of Scottsburg, Indiana; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Dorothy (Huff) Smith; and one brother, Perry B. Smith.  

A celebration of Life will be held at a later date in his hometown of Scottsburg, Indiana.
