Shenia Renee Taylor

June 21, 1980 ~ April 29, 2020 (age 39)

Ms. Shenia Renee Taylor was born June 21, 1980, in Pascagoula, MS. She left this world for her eternal home on April 29, 2020. At an early age, she joined The Greater Antioch Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. John W. Davis Sr.  Shenia had a strong belief in God, and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior.

Shenia graduated with honors from Moss Point High School, Class of 1998.  She later graduated from Blue Cliff Career College starting her career as a Nursing Assistant.  Shenia was employed with the Premier Medical Group until her health began to fail.  She never let her health define her or change her beautiful personality, and was never one to give up. After recovering, she returned to her beloved Holiday Inn Express family to work, until her passing.  Shenia’s life was full of joy, positivity, kindness, and most of all, love. She would never end a conversation or text without saying that she loves you.  Many of us would find ourselves laughing out loud at her “UGLASSS” Facebook post, that she was notorious for. Without a doubt, you could always count on Shenia for a good laugh and to put a smile on your face.

Shenia was preceded in death by her grandparents, Caldonia Taylor and Willow Halbrook.

Shenia leaves to cherish her memories: her mother, Terry Patterson of Pascagoula, MS and her loving & devoted father, Freddie Taylor of Moss Point, MS, and Norman Rogers of Pensacola, FL; sisters, Tiffany Patterson( Nicholas Thomas) Gautier, MS and Jeanetta Patterson, Lithonia, GA; brothers, Joseph Moore, Moss Point, MS, Norman Rogers Jr. and LaDerrick Rogers(Tatyana) both of Pensacola, FL; nieces, Jamaya Thomas, Gautier MS,  LaShayla Moore and Alia Rogers of Pensacola, FL; devoted cousins, Janet Davis, Asia Jackson, and Tiana Moore; a special friend, William Nettles; devoted friends, Torey Fountain-Smith, Teresa Wonsley, Katrina Haynes, and Jessica Wiley; along with a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
