Stephen “Steve” John Lambert, Sr., 85, of Pascagoula, Mississippi, peacefully transitioned from this earthly life on June 12, 2026. Steve left an indelible mark on his family, being labeled the “FAVORITE” uncle.
Stephen Lambert was born in Monroeville, AL, to the union of Clarence Lambert and Corine Watson-Lambert on January 28, 1941. Steve and some of his siblings relocated from Monroeville, AL, to Mobile, AL, and subsequently to Pascagoula, MS. His employment comprised Turner Gulf Funeral Home, being an entrepreneur (owner of a bar/club in Carver Village), and the International Longshoremen’s.
At an early age, Stephen united with his family church, Morning Star Baptist Church in Monroeville, AL.
Steve was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Helen Lambert Warren; he was the beloved son of Clarence Lambert and Corine Watson-Lambert, who later became Corine Gilmore; a stepfather, Hubert Gilmore; six brothers, John Lambert, Arnold Lambert, Clint Lambert, Jessie Lambert, Richard Lambert, and Elbert Lambert; eight sisters, Dottie Lou Isa Lambert, Helen Lambert, Mary Alice Hazzard, Fannie Lambert, Mary Irene Brown, Charlye Mae Ross, Gertude Snowden, and Sallie Price; a special and loving niece, Evangeline “Dianne” Autrey.
Embracing cherished memories left upon our hearts: a loving and devoted wife, Donna Lambert of Gulfport, MS; two loving daughters, Lakiesha Lambert of Pittsburg, CA and Stephania Karmell Shaw of Pascagoula, MS; a loving son, Stephen John Lambert, Jr.; eight loving grandchildren, Raquel Tait of Houston, TX; Jahaquial Lambert (former care-giver) of Pascagoula, MS; Christian Joseph Rasco of California; Kylyn Sanders, Elias Wilson, Eve Wilson, Symearien Oatis, and Joshua Malone, all of Pascagoula, MS; three loving great-grand-children, Aniyah Lambert of Gautier, MS; Ayden Skinner of Moss Point, MS; Zen Smith of Houston, TX; two loving nieces, Christine (Rev. Milton) Haynes of Clinton, MS; Chestene Patton of Atlanta, GA; two special nephews, Roy Chester (Simon) Lambert of Detroit, MI; Tyres Frai’Aunt Autrey; three devoted friends, Jessie Thomas, Patrica Cunnigham, and Mary Ann Cunnighman, and a host of many other relatives and friends.
